14 year old Bourbon Barrel Reserve
The whisky matures for 14 years in traditional bourbon barrels (usually refill barrels or compiled from different older barrels) before being finished in deeply charred new American Oak casks from Kentucky’s Kelvin Cooperage.
In a nod to the shared history between the American and Scottish whiskey industries, Glenfiddich honors the American influence by packaging the 14 Year Bourbon Barrel Reserve in rich royal-blue, reminiscent of the Kentucky state flag.
The first release (2017-2019) was only available in the United States and Canada, before it came more widely available.
