An early example of double-matured whisky, this was predominantly aged initially in bourbon casks before being finished in sherry casks. The Glenfiddich Classic was introduced in 1992 and bottled until 1998. The expression is aged in bourbon wood prior to finishing in sherry casks. Classic was discontinued when Glenfiddich relaunched and came with their core range 12, 15 and 18 year old.
