Grand Series: 23 year old Grand Cru

The Grand Cru was first unveiled in 2019 with William Grant & Sons describing it as being "the ultimate spirit of celebration." The whisky itself is matured for 23 years in hand-selected American and European oak casks, before being finished in French cuvée casks. 

 

Nose: Apple blossom, freshly baked bread and candied lemon

Taste: Then to taste, layers of rich vanilla oak, sweet brioche, sandalwood, pear sorbet and white grape

Finish: All culminate in an unforgettable whisky experience

Colour: Golden

 

Gran Cru 23 year old was released in 2019 in a 70cl bottle at 40% abv and 43% abv. 

There are Brand Ambassador Cask Strength samples available at 55,3% abv

This is one of three Austrian exlcusives in the Grande Composition series, which saw the distillery allow artists from across the globe reinterpret the packaging for their Gran Reserve, Grand Cru and Grand Couronne expressions.

Artist Andrew Mezvinsky designed this particular release, Liquid Humanity of which 25 bottles bacame available.

Created by Australian fashion designer, Jordan Dalah, this set includes a Grand Cru 70cl  bottle with iconic graphics and a set of six Grand Cru crystal coupettes.
For this Limited Edition box set, Jordan was appointed creative director for the brand and has paid tribute Grand Cru’s moments of celebration with a campaign shot by world-renowned photographer Pierre Toussaint. 23 bottles were released.
