12 year old Special Reserve / Signature Malt 

After distillation, a small amount of robbie dhu spring water is added to the new make spirit to dillute the whisky to 63,5% abv. It then spends 12 years slowly maturing in a combination of european and american oak casks. Roughly 95% American oak and 5% European oak. After this, the matured whisky is married in oak tuns by Malt Master Brian Kinsman, for an unrivalled harmony, complexity and depth. This 12 year old is the modern version of the single malt that created the category in 1963.

 

Nose: Distinctively fresh and fruity with a hint of pear. Beautifully crafted and delicately balanced. 

Taste: Characteristic sweet, fruity notes. Develops into butterscotch, cream, malt and subtle oak flavours.

Finish: Long, smooth and mellow

Colour: Golden 

ABV: 40%, 43%
